The Japanese government and the tsunami hit local governments are now in a hurry to install sensors which detects abnormal rise of water levels of rivers and the sea and also to rebuild flood preventive infrastructures.
There is a reason for this.
If you have ever lived in Japan in June, you might experienced rain, rain, rain and rain.. days.
Now Japan is amid East Asian rainy season, know as Tsuyu, when the air becomes very humid and you can even feel the air is somehow heavier than usual, which is caused by precipitation along a persistent stationary front. Japan often is hit by landslides and floods caused by heavy rain during Tsuyu season in many areas.
In addition to this, Typhoon season is simultaniously approaching.
As you can easily imagine, Tunami hit area is very vulnerable to floods and water rise as most of preventative infrastructure have benn damaged.
Nature seems never give time to rest for people in the affected area but things to deal with one after another.
I hope from bottom of my heart that this Tsuyu season does not cause any more damage to the area.
