I came back from Japan last night.
What surprised me was today’s newspaper.
I could barely find articles about the aftermath of the disaster, which is understandable but still shocking to me.
Good news is I catched a news that Sendai city is going to hold Tanabata Festival.
Traditionally in Japan, on Tanabata (Star festival) day, people write their wishes onto a strip of colored paper each and decolate a bamboo-like tree with the colorful strips. It is believed that their wishes will reach to the sky and will come true.
Best wishes to Japan!
